There are some games (usually older ones) that shouldn't be run at very high framerates, for example. This setting too can be used to curb power consumption. Max Frame Rate is similar to the first setting we looked at but it is in effect at all times if enabled. Still, every millisecond matters sometimes. Nvidia recommends setting this to Ultra, but by their own testing, it doesn't seem to do very much in some of the most popular competitive games. Low Latency Mode is useful if you're playing a competitive game like Fortnite where you want lag and latency to be as minimal as possible. The biggest visual difference between a 4k Monitor and 1080p monitor, is actualy due to the rendering resolution used when comparing. A custom resolution of 1920 x 820 produces a letterbox 21:9 image, but obviosly the rendering resolution is low, so 4x DSR on it makes it 3840 x 1640, which looks great. (takes some work but u can use both DSR and a custom resolution at the same time, even though Nvidia doesnt allow it via the NVCP). Though i primarily use it for when i run a game using custom 21:9 resolution on my 16:9 screen.
